Kenneth A. Rape August 30, 1945 - January 16, 2010 Kenneth A. Rape, 64, of Oriole Drive died at 5:08 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Kenneth graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York. He retired as a lieutenant from the U.S. Navy. He was an avid Colts and IU basketball fan and he enjoyed NASCAR and the Indianapolis 500. He also was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crosswords. He loved traveling with his wife and family and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. His family was the most important thing in his life. Born in Elwood City, Pennsylvania, Aug. 30, 1945, Kenneth was the son of K. Burnett and Anna K. Rape. He married Ruthanne Doidge May 13, 1967. Survivors include his mother, of Zelienople, Pennsylvania; his wife; sons, Marc (Beth) Rape of Columbus, Brett (Elise) Rape of Indianapolis and Bruce Rape of Columbus; grandchildren, Jake, Alex, Tessa, Olivia and Isabella; and sisters, Darlene (Dave) Wogan of East Brady, Pennsylvania, and Sharyn (Tim) McMaster of Zelienople, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Information A celebration of Kenneths life is planned from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Simmons Winery. All friends are encouraged to attend. Private Burial: Garland Brook Cemetery.
