Kenneth G. Bierlein

Kenneth G. Bierlein, 88, of Columbus, died Tuesday March 3, 2020 at Four Seasons Retirement Center. He was born March 8, 1931 in Columbus, Indiana to the late George Raymond Bierlein and Alma Louise Brandt Bierlein. He married Marjorie Ryan May 6, 1961 and she survives. Kenneth served his country in the U. S. Navy He graduated from Indiana Institute of Technology in Fort Wayne with a degree in chemical engineering. He retired in 1990 from Arvin Industries as a project engineer following 37 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 5, 2020 in Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Garland Brook Cemetery will military honors provided by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Marjorie and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ronald L. and John Edward Bierlein.
