Kevin Brian Hashman, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, in his hometown of Columbus, Indiana. Kevin was born of August 11, 1962 the son of Arnold Lee and Barbara Ann Greenlee Hashman. He married Sharon Sue Barnard on August 22, 1981. She survives.

Kevin’s passion for the outdoors was evident to anyone who had the pleasure of accompanying him on one of his many fishing trips or deer hunting outings. His ability to spin a yarn made him the best storyteller among his friends and family, captivating audiences with tales that were as much a part of him as his infectious smile. Along with his hunting and storytelling Kevin enjoyed playing golf, Mushroom hunting, and the rare find of an arrowhead was the peak of his adventures.

Known for his playful spirit, Kevin had a unique way of filling a quiet room with sudden laughter—often by letting out a scream just to scare everyone, a harmless prank that became a beloved hallmark of his personality. His love for the serene beaches in Sarasota was a cherished escape.

Kevin attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. He lived his beliefs through acts of kindness and an open heart, welcoming everyone he met with open arms and an open mind.

Above all, Kevin was a family man. As the best Papaw, his grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. His role as a loving husband was one he took great pride in, providing a foundation of love and support that was the bedrock of his marriage. This man was a legend to his family and will be greatly missed.
