Larry Dean Hadley

Larry Dean Hadley, 67, of Columbus, passed away at 7:15 a.m. Monday September 21, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Columbus February 15, 1953 to Hubert and Bessie Marie Hopkins Hadley. He married Brenda Sue Hadley September 8, 1989, she survives.
Larry proudly served his country in the US Army. He had been employed by Cummins Engine Company and Kroger’s. He enjoyed watching old western movies, especially Gunsmoke. Larry watched wrestling matches, liked fishing and working on cars. A loving husband and father, Larry will be missed by all that knew him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the funeral service to be held at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Raymond Dupree officiating at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Military honors will be performed by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Larry is survived by his wife, a son, Brian (Michelle) Foster of Hope; a daughter Ella Hadley of Columbus; brothers, Bob (Linda) Hadley of North Carolina, Kenny (Charlotte) Hadley of Columbus, Hubert (Mary) Hadley of North Vernon and Tim (Freda) Hadley of Pekin, IN; sisters, Betty Denton, Janet Hadley Cindy (Tom) Ludwig and Sue Burton, all of Columbus, Patty (Lee) Jones of Shoals and Charlotte Hadley of Indianapolis and 3 grandchildren, Nathan, Casey and Joseph Foster, all of Columbus.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ray Hadley.

Larry will be missed but he’s no longer suffering I remember every time I seen him at family gatherings he always was on me about smoking and stopping rest in peace my friend
