Larry Roger Clements

Larry Roger Clements, 76, of Columbus, died at 3:16 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at his home. Larry was born on January 24, 1947, the son of Omer and Anna May Walls Clements. He married Margaret Ann Poff on August 15, 1964. She preceded him in death on November 21, 2013. Larry graduated from Casey County High School in Kentucky. He was a production worker for Cummins Engine Co. for 32 years, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed mushroom hunting and going to Michigan with his friends. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Maupin officiating. Calling will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22, and one hour prior to service on Saturday. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mainstreet Hospice of Franklin, Indiana through the funeral home. Survivors include children, Brian (Michelle) Clements, of Edinburgh, Lisa (Kristopher) Thomas, of Franklin, and Tony R. Clements, of Columbus; sisters, Joyce (Johnny) Maupin, and Lillian Fay Larkins; grandchildren, Kory (Madison) Clements Thomas, Ashley Clements, Jessica (Nathan) Carie, Kevin (Kailynn) Thomas, Caleb Clements, and Tristan Clements; great-grandchildren, Lynnox Ann Thomas, and Bowyn Nigel Clements Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Robert Anthony Clements; sisters, Jewell Clements, and Julian (Horace) Gosser; a grandson, Shawn Anthony Michael Clements, and a brother-in-law, Lester Larkins.
