Laurie Ann Shelton, 51, of Columbus, died at 1:15 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2021 at her home.
Laurie was born January 1, 1970, in Columbus, the daughter of Joseph and Linda Lucas Carmer. She married John Greg Shelton on August 8, 2003.
Laurie was a member of Flintwood Wesleyan Church and was employed at MSW Sales and Service for three years. A loving mother and grandmother, family meant everything to Laurie. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The funeral will be Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 6 p.m. at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Wes Jones officiating. Calling will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to the Flintwood Wesleyan Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Survivors include her husband; Greg Shelton; mother, Linda Carmer (Mouser); daughters, Sylvia Dawn (Brandon) Underhill of Greenwood, and Alyssa Jane Shelton of Columbus; a brother, Michael L. (Rachael) Carmer of Columbus; sisters, Sherry Lynn Pennington of Scipio, Gail L. (Donnie) Burton of Edinburgh, Robin L. (Tim Callahan) Carmer of Scipio; grandchildren, Bryson K. and Hailey A. Underhill; in-laws, John and Martha Shelton of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her Father; a brother, Jeremiah L. Carmer.
Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
