Leanne York, 60, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at her home in Columbus. She was born September 13, 1963 in Harvey, Illinois and was as the daughter of Lawrence and Gertrude Betty Vroegh York.
Leanne was a wonderful mother and she loved her grandchildren more than anything in the world.
She is survived by her son, Kyle Lee Tews of Columbus, IN; her grandchildren, Landon and Karmyn Tews; her mother, Betty York of Columbus; and her brothers, David (Sheryl) York of Zeeland, Michigan and Dan (Jackie) York of Columbus.
A funeral service honoring Leanne's life will be held at 5 pm Tuesday, November 7 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Friends may gather for visitation from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest at a later date at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Lansing, Illinois. Memorials in her name may be made to Gideon's International.
