You were my neighbor for 3 years, never had a bad thing to say about you. You always asked me about my son, and how he was. I remember when your family would BBQ, you always were an inviting person and even though you really didn’t know us you would always let us know that we’re was plenty to go around. Such a good genuine person to everyone. I’m saddened to hear of your passing.

I (Max) drove the church bus from CCC and my wife (Sara) rode and made friend’s with the kid’s. Lefty was one of those kid’s that we picked up.He was a great and sweet boy with a BIG smile and a hug for us. God Bless all of you. We will remember Lefty always.Jesus loves you this I know.. i met lefty in january of 2010 at mcdowell he was a cool guy and a great friend he had a love for life that was uncapable of being smoldered it burnt like a wild fire he always had great advice and i rember i was having trouble with a relationship and with my life i was in a dark spot and lefty is who i looked to for advice and he looked atr me and said man you have the oppurtunity to be a marine and this girl these problems will be gone man but the fact that you served your country will be something worth having forever. we are young man we dont need to be worried about all this petty shit its not worth the stress and he supported me in everything i did he would chill while i played guitar and then make me play a song by john mahyer called daaughters. when i heard the news that my friend had been taken away from me i grew sad and i poicked up my guitar to play that song he loved and think on the memories of partying, having fun, wisdom and unmatchable friendship these are the things that come to mind when i think of Lefty Rivera. to his mother i send my greatest sympathy for a great man was taken from you but sometimes god ants the best of us to be with him in heaven. I would not be who i am today and where i am today if it was not for lefty constantly keeping me in check saying man you cant do that your going to the marines dont ruin your future I am a united states marine stationed in the pacific and i owe it to your son my friend my brother….. YO left i will meet you on the other side brother

my sisiter Kim and I lived next door at candlelight Lefty was such a sweet boy I remember that sweet smile ,,,,never seen him without it ,,,my newphews ,Brandon and Dylan ,,, were very upset as well as my sister Kim,,,I guess Brandon had just got back in touch with lefty and ws so happy hes been really grief stricken about this senless accident ,,,just a sweet sweet boy ……….he will be forever in our hearts and memories ,,,,extending our symothies to your entire family ,,,God must have needed and Angel ……..
