Lewis G. Spires

Lewis G. Spires, 72, of Greensburg, passed away on May 20, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born on September 18, 1941 in East Oolitic, IN, the son of Glen and Lucille (Byrd) Spires. Lewis recently re-located back to Indiana from Georgia in January 2013. He was an artist, mechanic, auto body repairman, musician and songwriter. He had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Survivors include his son, Troy (Tina) Spires; a daughter, Sherry Jatan (Mike Ruble) Spires; granddaughter, Stormie Lynn Raye and his companion, Martha (Davis) Stuhrenburg all of Greensburg; along with his sisters, Marilyn (Chet) Shively of Heltonville, IN; Marsha (Danny) Kirkman of Orleans, IN and Louise Fox of Bloomington, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Angela Spires of Bloomington and a brother, Jack Spires of Moorehaven, FL. A graveside memorial service will take place at Beech Grove Cemetery, Bedford, Indiana at a later date.
