Lillard T. Daulton March 10, 1933 - November 27, 2007 Lillard T. Daulton, 74, of 19th Street died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at his home. An Army veteran, Mr. Daulton served in Company E, 351st Infantry Division at Camp Rucker, Ala., from 1953 to 1955. He had owned and operated several service stations throughout his life, including Dalton's Marathon and Dalton's Wrecker Service. He also worked for Stadler Meat Packing Co. and worked at Avis Rental Car for 10 years after retirement. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan and a racing enthusiast. Mr. Daulton was born in Somerset, Ky., March 10, 1933, the son of Louis Daniel and Virgie Vanhoosier Daulton. He was married to Savanna L. Phelps Dec. 19, 1953, at Somerset, Ky., by the Rev. H.J. Ridner. Survivors include his wife; a son, Dwayne (Diane) Daulton of Columbus; a daughter, Juanita "Jan" Carl of Seymour; grandchildren, Shannon (Mark) Meyer, Julie (Dan) Schnur and Mandy (Shane) Kleffman; great-grandchildren, Mallory and Bailey Meyer and Cami Kleffman; brothers, Louie Daulton and Gene Daulton, both of Somerset, Ky.; and sisters, Wilma Dean Cummins of Berea, Ky., and Faye McIntosh, Joyce Craig and Freda Cundiff, all of Somerset, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. VISITATION: Will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from noon until service time Friday. BURIAL: Will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. A Military Graveside Service will be conducted by the Bartholomew County Veteran's Color Guard. Donations Information Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
