Linda L. McQueen, 76, of Taylorsville died Friday, August 7, at her home. She was raised on a farm in southern Indiana, one of six children born to Arthur and Louise Shoultz. She moved to Columbus shortly after marrying her husband, Charles E. McQueen, and raised their children there. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was retired from Dolly Madison. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Charles. She is survived by her children, Pastor Tim Walton (Sherry) of Columbus, Tracy McQueen of Carmel and Aaron McQueen (Susan) of Taylorsville; her grandchildren Phillip Walton (Cierra) of Columbus, Seth Marksberry of West Lafayette and Kendra McQueen (Zack) of Greenwood; and her great-grandchildren Jayden, Marlee, Cain and Tripp Walton of Columbus; her brothers Bill Shoultz (Janet) of Petersburg, Richard Shoultz (Becky) of Petersburg, A.J. Shoultz (Julie) of Lexington, KY, Mitchell Shoultz (Tracy) of Shelbyville, KY, and her sister, Geneva Wilson (Joe) of Bloomfield. The family would like to express gratitude to Aaron’s fiancée, Susan Phillips, and Our Hospice of Southern Indiana for caring for Linda. Family graveside services are planned for Tuesday, August 11, with burial in Garland Brook Cemetery. Her son Tim will officiate. Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, and messages of condolence may be made at www.jewellrittman.com. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Women in Need Foundation, Community Church of Columbus or the Sanctuary.

  2. I have so many fond memories of Linda (mom) that i would not know where to start. she always treated me like i was truly her son. thoughts prayers and hugs from your extended family in florida.

  4. So sorry for your loss. Linda was such a sweet, caring person. She always had a smile and offered her friendship very graciously to others. I am sure she is going to be missed by many. She leaves behind warm memories. I can still see her smile. A grand lady.
