Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her devoted husband, Harold Callahan, and her daughters, Emilee (Justin) Miller, Terrie (Mark) Hawkey, Shannon Callahan, Jamie (Kevin) Tymitz, and Tina Callahan. Linda's life was a testament to her spirited and adventurous nature. She was a talented interior designer whose creative vision transformed many spaces into warm, inviting homes.
Linda was a woman of many interests and talents. She found solace in painting, capturing the beauty of the world as she saw it with every stroke of her brush. Her garden was her sanctuary, a place where she could be found tending to her flowers and plants with a gentle touch and a smile on her face. Linda's love for music was evident in her constant pursuit of learning new musical instruments, attending concerts with friends, and knowing every historical fact about The Beatles and 70s Rock.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Linda cherished camping and fishing with her grandchildren, which allowed her to immerse herself in the tranquility of nature. Traveling and watching sunsets also brought her joy.
Linda's life was a beautiful melody, composed of moments of joy, adventure, and unconditional love. Her memory will forever be cherished, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who were touched by her.
We will celebrate Linda on Wednesday, May 29th at Westside Community Church. The visitation will be from 11:00 am-1:00 pm with the funeral service at 1:00 pm. A private service will follow for immediate family at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the “Well Yeah Ariel Roberts Foundation” to help raise awareness about Glioblastoma and other types of brain cancer.
You are invited to light a virtual candle of remembrance and leave a message of condolences to the family online at www.jewellrittman.com.

So thankful for the many memories created and adventures shared with Linda—birthday celebrations and trips to TN, Chicago, FL, NYC, and more. Much harder but just as treasured are the times we shared these last ten months. How I will miss this dear friend! The most comforting thing we shared was our faith. She is rejoicing now and I will see her again. In the meantime, how I ache for all who knew and loved Linda, especially her family. You will stay in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers goes out to the family. Although our time together was short, it’s one that I will always remember. Herald, stay strong and cherish the memories for you were her soulmate.
Linda Callahan a life well lived. When I met Linda, she was a very young woman. Her life with Harold was just beginning. After getting to know Linda, I found her to be one of the strongest women I’ve ever met. A true force of nature! For one so young she had a very old soul. With Linda, family came first. Friends, a close second. She shared her gifts and love freely with both. I think of She and Harold often and smile! This is not a good-bye, rather I will see you on the flipside.
Linda and I were attached at the hip from the day we met in 7th grade. What wonderful times we have had. My heart hurts knowing that those times are gone, but we will meet again in heaven one day. So rest in God’s hands my friend until we meet again.
I loved Linda. We are Birthday Sisters. (Me, much older!) Our story would fill a book describing not only our adventures and friendship, but the kind of fun loving, strong, smart, generous, caring woman of faith that Linda was, all wrapped up in a beautiful, petite, blonde, package. Emilee, the day before your Mom passed I planted a lilac bush, my own memorial right where I could see it every day. And every Spring when the lilacs bloom, I know the fragrance in the breeze is your Mom coming by to say hello.

Linda was my Teacher Assistant in fifth grade at Hope Elementary and was the first to suggest the off-room in the classroom could be a great place to work with students. She then incorporated her interior designer abilities to make it warm and inviting. Linda always helped students feel at ease when working together on whatever they needed. I can’t recall exactly when, but it also eventually became Dino’s Room. I am making a donation in her honor to Hope Elementary and the teacher who now has that classroom.
