Linuel T. "Ted" Foist June 13, 1908 - August 14, 2007 Linuel T. "Ted" Foist, 99, of Columbus died at 4:55 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at Columbus Health & Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Foist was a 1928 graduate of Scipio High School where he played basketball and baseball. He retired in 1973 as an engineer with the Pennsylvania Railroad and was a member of Retired Railroaders Association. He also was a member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church and enjoyed gospel music, gardening, and playing euchre. He was an avid sports fan and was active in politics. He held his family dear and spending time with family as well as helping family was of great importance to him. He often traveled to visit grandchildren. Born in Jennings County June 13, 1908, Mr. Foist was the son of Edward and Alice Sutton Foist. He married Eva Jones Nov. 10, 1930, in Indianapolis. He is survived by daughters, Eileen (Michael) Bennett, Eva May McMillan and Mary Alice (Douglas) Muellenberg, all of Columbus; grandchildren, Tami (Jason) Wallace, Brent Muellenberg, Bruce Muellenberg, Dianne (Dirk) Browne, Darrel (Gail) Foist, Albert Carr, Jeff (Kathy) Foist, Terry Foist, Cathy (Chad) Mathis and Linda Carr; 20 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in April 1995; a son, Linuel T. "Bud" Foist Jr.; brothers, Clarence, Roy, Leonard, Ralph and Randolph Foist; a sister, Marie Kehrt; granddaughters, Cynthia Gabbard and Karen Muellenberg; and a son-in-law, Joseph McMillan. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2007 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitch Coggin officiating. VISITATION: 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2007 at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
