Lois A. Irvin, 79, of Flintwood Court, died at 9:26 a.m. July 13, 2020, at her home. Lois was born June 10, 1941, in Jackson County, the daughter of Mance and Prudy Ferguson Allman. She married Buddy Irvin January 23, 1960. She retired from Reliance Electric in 2003 and was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene. She volunteered with the Senior Citizens 50/50 Club and loved to cook and go to garage sales. Lois never met a stranger. The funeral will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Paul Blair officiating. Calling will be 4 p.m. until time of service Thursday. Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in memory of Lois. Survivors include her husband, Buddy; sons, Tony (Teresa) Irvin, Curtis (Christi) Irvin and Kevin (Brenda) Irvin and a daughter, Gina (Tim) Turner, all of Columbus; brothers, Jack (Jay) Allman, Richard Allman, Leon (Terri) Allman, Larry (Lulu) Allman, Randy (Linda) Allman, and sisters, Phyllis (Albert) Zapfe and Carol Pennington; grandchildren, Kelly Wilson, Corey Turner, Josh Irvin, Lauren Irvin, Blake Polk, and Kelsey Schrelick; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Jesse Allman, Allan Allman, and Russell Allman, and sisters, Eilene Williams, Imogene Hammond, Wanita Cockerham, and Lavina Allman.   1. Sending prayers to the family, so sorry to hear of the passing of Lois. Since I am a Jackson county girl, I have known Lois almost my whole life. What a wonderful person. Always a joy to be in her presence. I will never forget her. RIP dear sweet lady.

  2. At every family gathering she was the one who made me laugh. She always had something funny or sarcastic to say that would crack us all up. I will miss her so much. Prayers for her family, siblings and many nieces and nephews. God bless and rest in the arms of Jesus now.

    I am sad to learn that we have lost Lois. Just the other day, I was remembering the fun Les and I had with you and Lois. I also remember one time when I went with Lois to visit her sister Wanita. I am sorry that I could not be there to pay my respects today. This COVID 19 keeps me home.
