Lois Barnard

Lois Barnard, 86, of Columbus, died at 5:26 a.m. February 4, 2020, at Columbus Transitional Care and Rehabilitation.
Lois was born March 30, 1933, in Bloomfield, Indiana, the daughter of Charles and Maude Hosteter Kemp. She married Russell C. Barnard July 30, 1950; he preceded her in death March 9, 2006.
Lois was a member of Eagle Creek Grace Brethren Church in Indianapolis and attended Flintwood Wesleyan Church in Columbus.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2020, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Wes Jones officiating. Calling will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service Monday. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in honor of Lois.
Survivors include her son, James H. (Cindy) Barnard of Santa Clara, California, and a daughter, Lorraine K. (Don) Coffey of Columbus; grandchildren, Kimberly A. (Josh) Brown of Brownsburg, Curtis P. (Marni) Barnard of Portland, Oregon, David A. (Misty) Coffey of Mishawaka and Daniel C. Coffey of Jacksonville, Florida; and great-grandchildren, Alaina M. Coffey, Lucas A. Coffey, Kevin L. Coffey, Jake D. Coffey, Owen Matthew Brown, Wesley Jameson Brown, Noah Miller Brown and Henry Bennett Barnard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell; and a sister, Betty McDonald.






Lois was a sweetheart and will forever be remembered.
