Lois Gail Lewis

Lois Gail Lewis, 70, of Columbus, passed away surrounded by her family at 3:46 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2024, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Lois was born June 18, 1953, the daughter of William Theodore and Flossie Roberts Sanders. She married Raymond Leon Lewis on May 18, 1997. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2018.
Lois enjoyed game night with her friends, weekly Bible study, and fishing with Leon. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family meant the world to her. She will be lovingly remembered as the mom who always puts her family above herself.
Calling will be from Monday, January 8, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral. In keeping with Lois’ wishes there will be no service. Burial will be at Union Flatrock Cemetery located in Ripley County, at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
Survivors include her children, Thomas Hobbs Jr., of Edinburgh, Zachariah (Heather Andress) Hobbs, of Columbus, Charlotte (Tracy) Royse, of Columbia, KY., Nicole (Chad) Pegg, of Columbia, KY., Tracy (Ronald Jr.) Morgan, of Goshen, IN., Mary (Sam) Royse, of Knifely, KY., Lisa Lewis, IN., Amy Ordonez-Colop, of Knifely, KY., and Tim Lewis, Knifely, KY; siblings, William D. Sanders, of Columbus, Michael Sanders, of Columbus, Carl (Cheryl) Sanders, of Elizabethtown, IN., Carol (George) Brown, KY., Barbara Sanders, of Columbus, and Sherry Sanders, of Columbus; 22 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leon, brothers, Donald Sanders and Gordy Sanders, and 3 grandchildren.
