Lois Kathleen Hillenburg

Lois Kathleen “Kathy” Hillenburg, 74, of Columbus, passed away Friday September 27, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. She was born February 21, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late James Alger Beasley and Lona Elizabeth Dick Beasley. She married Gerald Dean “Deano” Hillenburg on June 21, 1963 and he preceded her in death on December 1, 2010. Kathy had been employed at Mitsubishi in Franklin as a lab technician. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday October 2, 2019 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Kathy is survived by her daughters, Deana Gayle (Larry) Holley and Kimberly Diane (Jeff) Hillenburg-Sanford; eight grandchildren, Gregory Scott Poe, Hanna Elizabeth Michaelis, Kyle Daniel Michaelis, Joshua Guy Holley, Zachary Tyler Hillenburg, Nicholas Braydon Moore Joseph Allen Sanford and Gracelyn Rile Moore; five great-grandchildren, Madelynn Hope Poe, Remington Gauge Shehan, Cayden Owen Dean Hillenburg, Lylah Nicole Hillenburg and Zayne Tyler Hillenburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother Carroll Victor Beasley.
