Lola Faye Burton February 15, 1927 - October 13, 2007 Lola Faye Burton, 80, of Midway Street died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007 at Columbus Health & Rehabilitation Center. Faye enjoyed cooking, animals, flowers and traveling. Mrs. Burton was born February 15, 1927 in Illinois, the daughter of Otha and Sophia Simpson Yeadon. She married Lilburn Burton in 1951. Survivors include daughters, Lucille Cooper of Franklin, Ind. and Luzia Burton of Edinburgh, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and sisters, Nora Wooten, Carrie Burton and Sophie Shepherd, all of Columbus, Ind. Faye is also survived by 10 stepchildren, several step grandchildren, several step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lilburn who passed away in November 1997; a daughter, Wiladean Burton; brothers, William, Arvis and Orvil Yeadon; and sisters, Martha Simpson, Mae McLeroy and Orene Thompson. Funeral Information VISITATION: Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2007 at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home. FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, 20076 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gerald W. Hancock officiating.
