Lorene Callahan April 24, 1923 - September 04, 2010 Lorene Callahan, 87, of Columbus, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Lorene was born April 24, 1923 in Brown County, the daughter of Carl and Alice Miller. She was married to Harry F. Callahan for over 60 years. He passed away on Nov. 22, 2001. Lorene loved cooking, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of East Columbus Christian Church. Lorene is survived by a son, Roger (Lana) Callahan of Lafayette; a daughter, Sharon (Ron) Jacobs of Columbus; grandchildren, Lara Phelps, Rachel Callahan Johnson, Kip Jacobs and Ava Jacobs Duncan; great-grandchildren, Ashley Duncan, Breanna Jacobs, Abigail Jacobs, Isaac Johnson, Caleb Johnson and Lydia Phelps; brothers, Wayne Miller and Don Miller, both of Bloomington; and sisters, Josephine Aubin and Jurene Richardson, both of Bloomington. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Oma Davidson; and brothers, Clyde Miller, Geroge Miller, Raymond Miller and an infant brother. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 3 p.m. Monday, September 6, 2010 at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Bridgewater officiating. VISITATION: 12:30 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. ENTOMBMENT: Private entombment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery Mausoleum.
