Lucille Richardson May 22, 1929 - June 22, 2010 Lucille Richardson, 81, of Columbus, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Silver Oaks Health Campus. Lucille retired from the accounting department at Arvin Industries after 40 years of service. She was a member of East Columbus Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star and the Senior Center CSA ladies group that makes lap robes for the elderly and rag dolls for sick children at Columbus Regional Hospital and Riley Childrens Hospital and children in Iraq. She enjoyed her flowers and doing yard work along with cooking in her kitchen with her great-granddaughter, Hayley. Born May 22, 1929, Lucille was the daughter of Glenn Lee and Goldie Simpson Veale. She married Donald Richardson July 5, 1958. He preceded her in death March 16, 2004. Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Rick) Lemert of Hartsville; a grandson, Shanon (Regina) Ping of Columbus; and a great-grandchild, Hayley Ping. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Bessie Courtney. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Saturday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Ron Bridgewater officiating. CALLING: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday.
