Lukas Rand Hall
May 4, 1983 ~ October 2, 2020
Lukas Rand Hall, 37, of Columbus, died at 12:30 p.m., Friday, October 2, 2020, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Lukas was born May 4, 1983 in Columbus, the son of Jeff and Vicki (Gullett) Hall.
Lukas graduated from Columbus East in 2001. He served his community volunteering many countless hours, over several years at the Bartholomew County Humane Society. He enjoyed frequenting the Bartholomew County library as well. Lukas brought a smile to every face that crossed his path in life. Lukas could always be found with a polar pop in hand, ready to enjoy any part of his day. He loved going on a milkshake run in the mustang, with the top down.
If it wasn’t Disney, he could often be found watching his favorite James Bond movie. When asked to introduce himself, he would often borrow the famous line and say…”I’m Bond, James Bond.” From his favorite super hero T-shirts, that he wore daily, to his sayings that made Lukas so special, he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Lukas’ family would like to convey their special thanks to all his amazing caregivers throughout the years.
The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Andrew Johnson officiating. Calling will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society or the Bartholomew County Public Library through the funeral home.
Survivors include his parents, brother, Taylor (Samantha) Hall of Indianapolis; grandparents, Jim (Carol) Gullett of Madison, IN; aunts, Kristi Lustig and Cathy Coy, both of Columbus; a niece, Zoey Hall, of Indianapolis, and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Juanita Gullett, Pete (Rita) Hall; uncles, Jeff Gullett and Tim Hall.
You are invited to view his video tribute Wednesday, October 7, and light a virtual candle and send a message to the family via the internet.

Vicki, Jeff and family,
My deepest sympathy to you. Lukas brought light into every room he entered. Shine on, buddy, shine on.
Mrs. Hall,
I am keeping you and your family in my prayers. You were my science teacher for 2 years and remember you being pregnant and sharing his name with our class. You were one of my favorite teachers. Sending you a virtual hug.
Vicki, Jeff and Taylor, Mom received the news yesterday of the passing of Lukas. She and our family were so sorry to hear this. Although we all haven’t been in touch for a long time, your family has always been included in many conversations over the years. We love you all very much and send our deepest heartfelt sympathies. Mom doesn’t do the computers and wanted to be sure you know she’s thinking of you. We know he will be missed and in your hearts forever. Betty Christman & Family
Our condolences to your family. I will forever remember Lukas at the Yellowwood Drive neighborhood, running, playing and laughing outside. We hope your memories will sustain you through these difficult days. -Jan and Roger Banister, Paul & Christine and Cora, Adrienne
