SERVICES: FUNERAL: Will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday January 23, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Brian Busselberg officiating. VISITATION: Will be from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday January 22, 2017 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. BURIAL: Will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.MEMORIAL DONATIONS: May be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice (1110 Hammock Rd, Sebring, FL 33870)To view her video tribute, please click hereMargaret Faye “Maxine” Carmer Burton, age 96, went to be with her Father who sent her on January 18, 2017 at Kenilworth Care and Rehabilitation Center in Sebring, Florida after a lengthy illness. Margaret was born January 31, 1920 in Bartholomew County, Indiana to Everett and Hannah Ann McKinney Carmer. She had three brothers, Roy, Cecil, and Everett Jr.; six sisters, Edna, Mary, Inez, June, Catherine, Charlene, and Edith; who all preceded her in death. She also has one brother, Tom Carmer, who survives. Margaret married Wylie Ray Burton on November 20, 1937. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1981. Also preceding her in death was her son Douglas Ray Burton on November 20, 1980. Margaret is survived by her daughter Anita (Dale) Bargar; seven grandchildren Joe and Robert King, Leanne (Doug) Jacobs, Scott (Lara) Bargar, Melissa (Max) Burmeister, Deah Sneed, and Dustin (Lisa) Bargar; 23 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchlidren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Margaret worked hard starting at Camp Atterbury during the war, Reliance Sewing Factory, for the Norbert Sprouse Family, and IUPUI. She served as President of the Lowelettes Homemaking Club for two terms, was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she loved teaching the primary children and served an eighteen month mission at the Chicago Temple. Margaret loved people and they loved her, creating many wonderful and lasting friendships.
