Margaret L. Black November 09, 1952 - January 12, 2008 Margaret L. "Margi" Black, 55, of Columbus died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Hospice Center of South Central Indiana. Margi was born to Edward and Virginia Busse in Valparaiso, Ind., and raised in Aurora, Ill. and Bloomington, Ill. Margi graduated from Valparaiso University and was a special education teacher at Richards Elementary School in Columbus. She received a master's degree from Indiana University and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. She was a professor of special education at Illinois State University for six years. She married John Black on July 17, 1981, in Columbus. Margi had a strong Christian faith. She loved the Lord, loved people, and loved life. She enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, going places, and being with friends. She was very active and outgoing, until her body was attacked by multiple sclerosis. She fought the disease for more than two decades. It finally conquered her body, but not her spirit. Survivors include her husband, and a brother, Richard Busse. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Barbara Paul. Funeral Information SERVICES: A memorial service and celebration will be held Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Columbus with Pastor John Armstrong officiating. Donations Information MEMORIALS: Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana or Grace Lutheran Church Foundation. No flowers, please.

Margaret L. "Margi" Black, 55, of Columbus died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Hospice Center of South Central Indiana.
