Marian J. Scheidt

Marian J. Scheidt, 92, of Hope, passed away at 4:11 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Hope. Marian was born in Chicago, IL on June 7, 1928 to Conrade L. Wagner and Helen M. Richart Wagner. She married Morris Dale Scheidt on September 19, 1948. Marian was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. She was a retired administrative assistant from House and Home Reality and held a realtor’s license. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning and spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2021 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Roberts officiating. Calling will be Monday from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Burial will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Foundation and Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana through the funeral home. Survivors include her children, Linda (Larry) Pumphrey, Douglas (Linda) Scheidt and Brian (Kimberly) Scheidt all of Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Matthew (Amanda) Luse, Kimberly (Brian) Bennett, Amanda (John) Darlage, Erin Scheidt, Christopher (Tiffany) Scheidt, Jason (Stephanie) Scheidt and Kristen (Mitchel) Paswater; great grandchildren, Evangeline, Gwendolyn, Hendrick, Samuel, Joanna, Gavin, Landen, Alexandria, Chloe, Sarah, Charlie and Jackson; great great grandchildren, Iriee and Ariel. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Morris Dale Scheidt on December 5, 2015; a brother, Roy L. Wagner and a sister, Lorraine M. Fess.
