Marie Winiford Garrison March 15, 1931 - February 22, 2008 Marie Winiford Garrison, 77, of 17th Street died at 4:10 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2008, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mrs. Garrison had lived most of her life in Columbus, Indiana, but lived her early life in Brown County, Indiana. She worked with her husband in the nursery and produce business for many years. She delighted in her grandchildren and enjoyed reading the local newspaper as well as visiting with friends. She was of Baptist faith. Mrs. Garrison was born March 15, 1931 in Brown County, Indiana, the daughter of John and Ida Mullis Barger. She married Jack Garrison October 22, 1956. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Cathy Garrison Olson of Columbus, Ind.; grandchildren, Nathan (Marie) Garrison of Columbus, Ind. and Jessica Lynn Olson of Louisville, Ky.; great-grandchildren, Anaya, Kendall, Cameron and Samantha; and sisters, Lil Brown of Columbus, Ind. and Deloris Wright of Ellettsville, Ind. Mrs. Garrison was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Guy Barger, Clifford Barger and an infant brother; and a sister, Alfa Black. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Will be conducted Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. J.C. Brown and Rev. Glenn Poynter officiating. VISITATION: Will be Monday, February 25, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services. BURIAL: Will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
