Marilyn L. Hashman

Marilyn L. Hashman, 78 of Columbus, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Hashman was born on Sept. 24, 1942 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Harold Leroy Strong Sr. and Grace Maxine (McGee) Strong. She married Donald Dean “Pee Wee” Hashman on December 31, 1960. She is survived by a son Tracey Hashman of Eaton, Indiana and two daughters Wendy Hashman and Sandi (Rex) Brown, both of Columbus. She also has 10 grandchildren: Carson Brown, Patrick Hashman, Alan Hashman, Angel Mack (Steven Huntington), Derrick Brown, Danielle Hurley, Bradley Hashman, Levi Hashman, Jene’e Allen and Brayden Hashman. She has 13 great grandchildren, Mackenzie Sigman, Kylie Mack, Cameron Mack, Connor Mack, Cherrish Brown, Nicholas Brown, Malachi Hurley, Leyton Hurley, Rylinn Hurley, Adrian Hashman, Brayden Hashman, Delaney Hashman and Evan Hashman. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Dean Hashman on November 28, 1990; a son, Donald “Donnie” Hashman and a brother, Harold Strong. Marilyn loved doing diamond art, jigsaw puzzles on the computer, crossword puzzles and visiting with family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Garland Brook Cemetery, Devotion Section with Rev. Eli Johnson officiating. Calling will be from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made out to Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana.
