Marjorie Laverne Donhost, 92, of Midway Street, died at 4:51 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center. Marjorie loved to garden, sew, play cards and watch NASCAR. She also enjoyed playing bingo and listening to the Edwards Gospel Singing Group at the nursing home. She will be deeply missed by her family and the friends that she made while living in the nursing home. Born in Hope March 9, 1920, Mrs. Donhost was the daughter of Albert and Lillie Thurston Robertson. She is survived by daughters, Linda Leonard of Columbus, IN, and Marilyn (Barry) Reuteman of Columbus, IN; and grandchildren, Amy (Brent) Banister, Joseph (Kristie) Leonard, Kelly (Billie Watkins) Setser, Brooke (Dave Back) Reuteman, Gary Donhost and Michael Donhost. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Donhost, in 1992; a son, Jerry Donhost; brothers, Orville, Ora and Cecil Robertson; and sisters, Mabel Bennett, Edith Chambers and Dorothy Carter. FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Aigner officiating. VISITATION: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery.

As a long-time friend of my mother and your son a classmate you will be truly missed. Thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time in the loss of your loved one.
Marjie was loved by her family and all who took care of her. I feel privileged to say that I got to learn a lot about her in the 9 months I took care of her. She was truly an amazing woman and had a kind heart. She always told me that her because of her children and her husband, she had a happy life. Marjie, I as well as everyone else at Kindred will remember you fondly.
