  2. Marjorie or Mom as I called her while living at Foster house in 1976-77 as AFS student was a very caring and interested person, open for other people cultures and social relations. Having visited several times since and enjoyed her company also in Denmark it is with sadness we are informed of her passing and so thankful for getting to know her, the family and Columbus. Condolences to all – now heaven will be a more enjoyable place to be.

  3. My husband, Larry, and I taught with Marjorie at Northside Junior High School, and she was a wonderful teacher. She and her second husband, Jack, loved all things historical as shown in this photo where they dressed in period clothing to take part in an antique car show. Marjorie will be missed by many friends and relatives.

    • Thank you, Marilyn & Larry, for taking the time to post this fun picture of Mom and Jack! (from her daughter, Anita)

  4. Marjorie and Robert were Mom and Dad to me while I stayed with them as an exchange student from Germany in 1996/1997 and ever after. Marjorie was such a generous, gracious, smart, caring, lively and funny woman. She was interested to know about all things and appreciated every little and big wonder this world has to offer. We also had a wonderful time when she came to visit me and my family in Germany. She was such a beautiful example of all that one can hope, strive and wish for in life and she will always remain such a special memory in my heart – and I am absolutely sure the same is true for anyone who met her. My heart is with the Foster Schmeckebier family and all friends as they navigate this great loss. Marjorie will certainly never be forgotten.
