Mark Allen Scolley, 42, of Columbus, IN passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Mark was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 15, 1983 to Mark Richard Scolley and Terrie Lynn Combs Scolley.
Mark proudly served as a Volunteer Fireman with the Clay Township Fire Department, where he bore the badge number 932 with honor. His bravery and selflessness were hallmarks of his character, as he dedicated countless hours to ensuring the safety of his neighbors and friends.
Beyond his service, Mark was a man who found his greatest happiness in the simplest of pleasures. He was an individual whose heart was truly at home when surrounded by his family. Mark's love for his family was a beacon that guided him through life's challenges and triumphs.
There are no services scheduled at this time, cremation is planned.
Survivors include his parents, Mark and Terrie Scolley; children, Emmaleigh and Mason Scolley both of Columbus, IN; sisters, Tina Taylor of Kentucky, Azia Galbraith of Columbus, IN, Olivia Troxel of Jasper, IN and Amber Giddings of No. Vernon, IN.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.

I lost touch with Mark a lot of years ago but his memory will always stick with me. He was a kind, loving, generous soul. One of the best people I’ve ever known! My prayers are with his family. May you rest in peace old friend
I lost touch with mark years ago, he kind of went off and did his own thing, and I didn’t know too much about him when we were in high school together. We used to hang out a lot. We used to be really good friends. But as we got older, we kind of lost bass and lost touch, and we kind of fell off, our friendship became nonexistent, my prayers and blessings go out to his sister, his mom and his dad and his two children.
