Mark Wolfal April 19, 1937 - August 20, 2007 Mark Wolfal, 70, of Road 650E died at 7:50 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at his home. Mr. Wolfal was a 1956 graduate of Milroy High School and worked 38 years for Indiana Bell/Ameritech/SBC/AT&T, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Milroy Methodist Church. He was active in archaeology for many years, doing surveys for Indiana State University and working archaeological sites for Indiana University, Indiana State University, Northwestern University and the Indiana State Museum. He was a member of the Indianapolis Archaeological Society. A volunteer at Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge for many years, he was president of Muscatatuck Wildlife Society and received the Presidents Award for volunteer work. He also repaired cemetery stones for the city of Columbus and was the author of four books. Born in Rushville April 19, 1937, Mr. Wolfal was the son of Carl E. and Leota Spurrier Wolfal. He married Maxine Willis Oct. 25, 1957. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Lori (Bill) Kendrick of Seymour, Lisa (George) Feldman of Indianapolis and Michelle Lynn (Sam) Brown of Columbus; and grandchildren, Erica Kendrick, Brittney Feldman, George G. Quint Feldman V, Emma Brown, Nate Brown and Scott Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Revs. Bob Lay and Frank Baker officiating. VISITATION: Will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
