Martha Louise Francisco, 82, Columbus, formerly of Hope passed away at 12:00 pm on Saturday August 6, 2016 Born November 28, 1933 to Troy & Lazzell Goodman in Chadbourn NC. She was a graduate of Chadbourn High School in 1950. Also a graduate of Greensboro College in NC. She acquired her masters degree from Ball State University in 1960. Martha married James R. Francisco on August 16, 1958. She taught Elementary school for Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation for 35 years. She will be sadly missed by husband Jim; sons James R. Francisco, Jr. of Indianapolis and Dave (Cindy) Francisco of Hope; grandsons, Travis (Kimmie) Milner of Fortville, Dustin (Janae) Milner of Lafayette, Aaron (Nicole) Ashley of Denver CO, and Tyler Ashley of Hope; two great granddaughters and one great grandson due in September. Martha was proceeded in death by her parents and sister, Margaret Goodman.There will be no calling hours or service for Martha.

She was my 1st grade teacher at Rockcreek. She was an amazing teacher that taught me so many things, not just from books. She had a wonderful smile.

Great teacher! She was my math teacher in 3rd grade at Rockcreek. Always challenged her students and pushed them to be their best. She will be missed.
Miss. Francisco was my first grade teacher at Rock Creek. She was one of the best teachers I ever had. RIP
