Martha M. Cody June 10, 1920 - July 09, 2008 Martha M. Cody, 88, of Beech Drive, died at 2:54 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation. Mrs. Cody had been employed by C.P. Electronics and G. C. Murphy 5 & 10. She was a life long resident of Bartholomew County and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was of the Methodist faith. Born June 10, 1920 in Columbus, Mrs. Cody was the daughter of Thomas and Susie Palmer Morrison. She married William F. Cody Sr. April 4, 1959. Survivors include a son, William F. Rick Cody Jr. of Columbus; a daughter, Marilyn J. Sis Woods of Columbus; grandchildren, Tammy Jo Swallows of Taylorsville, Gretchan Hashimoto and Shane Smith, both of Columbus and William F. Cody III of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren, Kammy Woods, Amanda and Megan Hashimoto and Serenity and Kalista Cody and a great-great-grandchild, Brendin Woods. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on March 19, 2005; a son, Jerry A. Cody on May 23, 2007 and a brother, James Morrison. Funeral Information VISITATION: Calling will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home.
