FUNERAL: Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Bridgewater officiating. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery. Martin L. "Bud" Imlay, 82, of Silver Fox Drive, died at 12:43 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2012, at Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born in Decatur County, April 5, 1930, the son of the late Russell and Betty McCoy Imlay. He married Annie O. Likens on June 11, 1948, and she survives. Bud was a member of East Columbus Christian Church. He was employed at Indiana Bell, retiring on February 26, 1982, after 30 years of service. Bud enjoyed watching sports, especially NASCAR and IU basketball, and was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He and his wife celebrated 64 wonderful years together on June 11, 2012. Family was the most important thing in Bud's life; he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Steven L. (Carroll) Imlay of Scottsdale, Ariz.; daughters, Debbie (Ted) Merrick of Columbus, and Beverly G. (Mike Green) Barrett of Columbus; grandchildren, Tracy (Johnny) Howard, Jeremy (Shannon) DeHaven, and Lacey (Jeff Cregg) Romine; step grandchildren, Drew Soutas, Todd Clayton, Ronda Stanley, Karen Tanner, and Jeff (Kara) Clayton; great-grandchildren, Lexie DeHaven, Landon DeHaven, and Ty Romine; step great-grandchildren, Courtney (Mitch) Nicholson, Leah Clayton, Ella Clayton, Devin Purtlebaugh, Alex Tanner, Nick Tanner, Kinsey Clayton, and Carter Clayton; a step great-great-grandchild, Hayden Nicholson; a brother, Gary Imlay of Columbus; and a sister, Betty (Austin) Henry of Columbus. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Danny Ray Imlay; a daughter, Susan Kay Imlay; a brother, Robert Imlay; and a sister, JoAnn Imlay.
