Marvin B. Harshbarger, 79, of Seymour, passed away October 5, 2019, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Marvin was born June 6, 1940, in Colfax, Indiana, the son of Walter and Hazel Suter Harshbarger. He married Shirley Ann Franklin on June 8, 1957, who preceded him in death on February 18, 2014. He then married Sheila Helton. She survives. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday October 11, 2019, at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home, Columbus, Indiana, with Pastor Mark Myers officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be at Plainview Cemetery in Colfax, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Marvin was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from Quality Machine & Tool. He was a lifelong musician, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Sheila Harshbarger of Seymour; sons, Terry L. (Sheila) Harshbarger of Mulberry, Indiana, Tommie B. (Julie) Harshbarger of Lewisville, Indiana, and Danny (Jody) Harshbarger of Florida; daughters, Brenda (Rick) Cole of Lebanon, Indiana, Tami (Kevin) Sherry of Dayton, Indiana, and Kelly (Jeremy) Hurd of Columbus; 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell Wayne (Ruth Ann) Harshbarger of Clarkshill, Indiana; and two sisters, Shirley Coffman and Debbie Harshbarger, both of Lebanon, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Shirley; brothers, Bud and Max Harshbarger; sisters, Linda Donoho, Delores Mitchell, Gartha Webb, Karen Stingley, and an infant sister Sharon Ann Harshbarger.
