Mr. Ackerman is survived by his wife, Clairene Willoughby Ackerman; sons, Jerry Lee Ackerman and Thomas Edward Ackerman both of North Vernon; a daughter, Christy (Tim) Richards of Columbus; brothers, Kenneth Ackerman of California, Danny Ackerman of Kentucky and John Ackerman of North Vernon; Sisters Mary Bohannon of Borden, Janie Russell of Commiskey, Ginger Ackerman of Georgia, Janice Martin of Bloomington and Jeannie Wilder of Greenwood; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Graveside services will be Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m at Lambert Cemetery in Bartholomew County with Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. BURIAL: Lambert Cemetery with military rites performed by the Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.
