FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Larry Bogard officiating. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. BURIAL: Following the service burial will be at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery, 2778 Charlestown Road., New Albany, Indiana, 47150.MEMORIALS: Memorial contributions may be made to Community Church of Columbus or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home. Mary A. Massey, 87, of Columbus, died at 11:40 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2018, at Silver Oaks Health Campus. Mary was born December 24, 1930, in New Albany, the daughter of Frank N. and Bessie Blunk Terry. She retired from Target and was a member of Community Church of Columbus. Mary loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, her dog and watching the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Larry Bogard officiating. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Following the service burial will be at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery, 2778 Charlestown Road., New Albany, Indiana, 47150. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Church of Columbus or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home. Survivors include her son, Frank (Jackie Mellis) Massey of Greensburg and daughters, Cindy Massey and Cheryl (Les Burton) Massey, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Lindsay (Jake) Mundy, Dustin (Hannah Fountain) Morgeson, Melissa (Ryan) Perdue, and Cindy (Rob) Morrison; and great-grandchildren, Samantha Perdue, Parker Perdue, Robert Morrison, Charlotte Morrison and Sadie Holler. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister.






Cindy So very sorry about the loss of your mother. Even though I did not know her she appeared to be a very lovely person. She will be missed by you all. Thoughts and prayers are being lifted for you at this very difficult time.
Cindy, I was so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. She has arrived home with our Lord and Savior and is freely dancing on the streets of gold. Our thoughts are prayers are with you and your family as you mourn the loss of your Mom.
