Mary E. Goins Henderson-Canovas September 17, 1913 - April 18, 2007 Mary E. Goins Henderson-Canovas, 93, of Columbus died at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. A member of Church of God in Morgan Hill, Calif., she loved church, reading the Bible, flowers and people. She was born Sept. 17, 1913, in Crab Orchard, Ky., the daughter of John and Maggie Baker Goins. She was married to Jim Henderson for 37 years and then was married to John Canovas for 20 years. Both preceded her in death. Surviving are sons, Ronnie Henderson of Brownstown and Robert Henderson of Monterey, CA; daughters, Patricia Johnson of Seymour and Cheryl Henderson of Monterey, CA; sisters, Martha Moore and Nancy Bennett, both of Columbus; brothers, Elmer Goins of Ogilville, David Goins of Scipio and Charlie Goins of Columbus; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters, Lucinda Gordon, Delphine Rivenburg and Rosemary Ahrmann; and brothers, Johnny and Frank Goins. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil Clotfelter officiating.
