Mary Jean Dill

Mary Jean Dill, 73, of Columbus, passed away at 9:04 p.m. January 5, 2018, at Kindred Transitional Health Care Facility. Mary was born November 9, 1944, in Texas, the daughter of Earl and Ida Brooks. She married Clinton E. Dill and he preceded her in death. She went to church faithfully and was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved to laugh, and talk about her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She gave so much joy to everyone she came into contact with. She's in Heaven now with all her family and friends there. She will be greatly missed, but she will never, ever be forgotten. There will be no services in Columbus. In lieu of flowers, please send all donations and cards to 6 Mallard Drive, Granite City, Illinois, 62040. Survivors include her son, Doyle E. (Relda) Dill of Pontoon Beach, Illinois; daughter, Linda Stark of Colorado; sibling, Jackie Brooks of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Savanah, Jimmy, Nicole, Raven, Jessica, Freddy, Randall and Cody; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Bryan, Kelly, Kelcee, Cole, Anthony, Travis and Luna Rose; and her sister friend, Lilly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton and her parents.






Mama Mary I will miss talking to you everyday. Your laughter could light up a room. We talked about so much, but mostly your grandchildren and great-grandchildren. You will be missed dearly. We Love you and will see you one day in Heaven.
Our prayers are with your family as they grieve the loss of such a Godly woman, and may they find comfort in knowing that you will remain with our Lord for eternity. May God rain his blessings, comfort and love down upon those loved ones you leave behind.
