Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I had the honor of having Max as a father-in-law for 24 years. I’ll always remember that what you saw is what you got. He was a kind and fair man. His family was of the up most importance to him and he showed that on a daily basis. I’ve tried to think of an event that stands out but there are so many they all run together. I enjoyed being around Max whether we were hunting, working on the farm, hanging around his shop or having Sunday dinner. He remained a true friend and mentor for the fifty years I have known him. Even knowing he’s in a better place and not suffering anymore it’s still sad knowing he’s not here. If I could tell him one thing it would be that I feel I’m a better person for knowing him and thank you for the impact you made in my life. Russ Hollinger

  2. I’m so sorry to hear of Max passing. Always a smile. He visited Dad at the nursing home and he always appreciated that. God bless.

  3. Max was such a great asset to the Elizabethtown community. Condolences to the entire family. Gary and Martha Burriss

  4. We enjoyed being around Max and we are so sorry to hear of his death. We send our blessings to the family. Love Orville Eugene and Rayetta Akers. Take care of yourselves.

  5. Debra, Kevin, and Lisa: I read the Seymour Tribune this morning, 12/19/20, about your dad’s passing! You all may not even remember me, but I attended church as a kid with you all in Seymour, back in the 70’s!!!!! I was a few years younger than Kevin and Lisa. I do remember Max and Jewell, and remember going to your home in Elizabethtown. Wow! 90 years old is a good long life! May God comfort you all during this difficult time, but know that there is a day coming when we shall be reunited with our loved ones in glory! Where there will be no sorrow or tears anymore! You all take care! – Thad Miller ( son of Jack and Patty Miller of Seymour)
