Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Michael Alton Shackelford of Columbus; a daughter, Susan Rene (Archie) Combs of Guyton, Georgia; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Thompson of Hope, Gearl Thompson of Carrollton, Ky., Dearl Thompson and Donald Thompson, both of Columbus; and a sister, Evelyn Thompson Moore of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Alton Shackelford.
