He camped, fished, traveled the world, rode motorcycles, did wood working, sailed and loved Notre Dame football. He was proficient in almost everything he tried. He was known for his sense of humor, kind heart and loyalty. He lived on a sail boat for 7 years, and spent his latter years living in a home he built on the Hood Canal in Brinnon, Washington. The past 6 years have been spent in Columbus, Indiana, in the care of his daughters. His last residence was at Keepsake Village in Columbus, and the family sincerely acknowledges the tender and loving attention he received there.
