Michael Lee Jones

Michael Lee Jones, 70, of Mount Washington, Kentucky, passed away August 12, 2023 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Mike was born May 18, 1953, the son of Donald Rex and Betty (Boyer) Jones. Mike graduated with the class of 1971 at Edinburgh High School where he played basket ball and ran track. He was a team member of the record holding mile relay at Edinburgh High School, a record that still stands. He enjoyed music, especially The Beatles and played guitar. He wrote songs and released his own CD. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday August 18, 2023 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home is entrusted with Mike’s arrangements. Mike is survived by his daughter, Brittany Marie Jones; brother, Gerald Edward Duncan; sister, Mary Kathleen Lane and grandchildren, Adrena, Treasure and Raiden. He was preceded in death by his parents.
