Michael Anthony “Tony” Weber, 54, of Columbus, passed away Thursday September 7, 2023 at Seymour Crossing in Seymour. He was born May 11, 1969 in Terre Haute, IN and graduated from Columbus East High School in 1987. Tony enjoyed playing hockey as a goalie, and while he was in school he coached his younger brother’s youth hockey team. He was an avid Pittsburgh Penquins NHL hockey team fan. He loved people and could talk their heads off. He was especially blessed to make contact with his birth mother and her family in his adult years and had a special relationship with them. Tony spent many years as a truck driver at various locations as well as a security patrol officer in Columbus. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday September 11, 2023 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Craig Chestnut officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday until the service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Tony may be made to either Schneck Hospice, Fresenius Kidney Care or First Christian Church, Columbus through the funeral home. Tony is survived by his parents, Mike and Sue Weber, Columbus; sister, Debbie (Jaime) Rosado, Alexandria, VA; brother Doug Weber, Columbus; niece Alyson Porter, Alexandria, VA; nephew Andrew Jines, Brownstown; great nephews Conner and Colten Jines, Elizabethtown. He is also survived by his birth mother, Patty Farris, French Lick; sisters Lisa (Kedrick) Levi, Orleans and Teresa Magee, Huntingburg; nieces McKaylan King and Catherine Wininger; and nephew Brian Wininger.   1. We remember Tony as a very happy boy and young man. He used to enjoy calling me ‘the whale’. His smile will be with us always. We are so sorry for Mike and Sue and all of the Webers. Be assured you are in the prayers of all your friends and family.
