Miguel Perez 19, of Columbus, died at 2:41 a.m., May 28, 2023, at home. Miguel was born July 18, 2003, in Canton, Ohio the son of Esteban Perez and Maria Rico. Miguel was a 2023 graduate from Columbus North. Miguel was a very hard worker. He had been employed at Texas Roadhouse for 2 years. He enjoyed watching videos on TIK TOK and playing video games. He loved wrestling and play-fighting with his oldest brother, Daniel, his niece, and his nephew. Miguel will be remembered for being a hardworking, caring, fun person to be around. He always lit up the room when he walked in. He was greatly loved by family and friends. The funeral mass will be Monday, June 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father Clem Davis officiating. Calling hours will be Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., and Monday, June 5, 2023, from 9:00 until 9:30 a.m. both at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. The Rosary service will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Alma Montelongo de Vera officiating the service. Memorials may be made to the family of Miguel. Survivors include his parents, a brother, Daniel Perez and (Mariana Figueroa) of Clewiston, Florida; niece and nephew, Emily and Israel Perez; a cousin, Juan Carlos Rico, all of Florida.
