Mildred Jean Glasson September 30, 1924 - July 08, 2009 Mildred Jean Miller Glasson, 84, of 27th Street died at 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at her home. M. Jean Miller was born in 1924 at North Madison, Indiana. Her parents later moved to Columbus where she graduated from high school. She worked in confectionery stores and dry goods stores before being employed by Cummins Engine Co. in the purchasing department. She retired from Columbus Regional Hospital after 10 years of employment in the physical therapy department. She was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, enjoyed reading and was devoted to her family and grandchildren. Born Sept. 30, 1924, in North Madison, Indiana, Mrs. Glasson was the daughter of Herbert J. and Elizabeth Wilson Miller. She married Woodrow Raymond Woody Glasson July 15, 1944, in Columbus. He preceded her in death July 11, 2006. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Jean (John) Fasick of Columbus; a sister-in-law, Josephine Cox of Columbus; grandchildren, Mark S. McClintic of Columbus, Michelle (Lou) Calcagni of San Diego, CA, and John (Laura) Fasick III of New York; great-grandchildren, Eric S. McClintic, Milena G. Calcagni, Aaron Fasick and Alex Oberdorfer; cousins, Helen (Roy) Stewart, Frankie Collier and Elbert (Stella) Wilson; and extended family, Tammy Meek. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her loving dog, Tiffy. Funeral Information FUNERAL: A private family graveside service is planned at a later date at Garland Brook Cemetery.
