Mildred Pauline Best, 91, formerly of Columbus, passed away at 4:12 p.m. Friday November 10, 2017 at the Brown County Health and Living Center in Nashville. Mildred was born December 11, 1925 in Columbus to the late Floyd and Faye (Weekley) Shultz. She was formerly employed at CP Electronics. She is survived by 2 sons, Michael Bryant and his wife Laurel of Maine and Richard Bryant and his wife Sue of Florida. She is also survived by 2 step sons, David and Dale Best both of Greensburg and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick “Ed” Best; her daughter, Etta Faye Bryant; a brother, Floyd Robert Shultz and 2 sisters, Maxine Penrose and Norma Colleen Cain. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 15, 2017 at Garland Brook Cemetery with Rev. Connie Barr officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
