Monetta Helton January 30, 1930 - March 11, 2011 Monetta Helton, 81, of Flintwood Drive, died at 10:04 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2011, at Columbus Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Oscaloosa, Kentucky January 30, 1930, the daughter of Wash and Anna Breshears Boggs. She married Shelby Helton January 14, 1948. Monetta was employed at CP Electronics and J.C. Food Stores. She had lived in Florida for 26 years before returning to Columbus about 14 years ago. She was a member of Parkside Baptist Church. Monetta had many friends who she enjoyed spending time with. Decorating her home brought her enjoyment. Monetta loved her husband, son and grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Danny Wayne (Alta Joyce) Helton of Columbus; grandchildren, Nathaneil Helton of Columbus and Adam Helton of Hope; great-grandchildren, Abigail Helton of Columbus and Kennedi Helton of Hope; step-great-grandchild, Alexxis Owens of Hope; a brother, Burl Boggs of Indianapolis; sisters, Eunice George of Indianapolis and Llorene Phipps of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Vernon and Gillis Boggs; and sisters, Olave Stoner and Cuma Linn. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Dr. William E. Bailey officiating.
