Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I met Nancy about 24 years through Christian Women’s Club. She had just retired from teaching and was now Chairing CWC. Through the years we were involved in many activities together including teas, Bible Studies, and committees. Nancy loved teaching, young and old, her Church but mostly the Lord. She was a real special lady, always giving of herself. I don’t remember ever hearing NO come from her mouth if anyone asked if she would help. Many times when talking to her she would say she just helped at a Funeral Dinner from Church or she had just taken a chocolate cake over to a friend who lost his wife. Since I heard about Nancy’s passing she has been on my mind day and night. I picture her in Heaven with a big sweet smile as she is greeted by her parents, siblings, husbands, other relatives and close friends, like Juanita Harden and Janice Denton. We could all learn a lesson from Nancy by saying YES when asked if we would serve.
God Bless You, Nancy and Rest In Peace.

  2. I will certainly miss my Aunt Nan. She was a kind, caring, loving soul who loved the Lord. She touched so many lives in her 81 years and will be missed by many. Go rest high on that mountain. We LOVE YOU!!

  3. What a wonderful lady and teacher. She was my 2nd grade teacher at Wayne Elementary school. We’ve had many other students remembering her on our school page on Facebook.

  4. Most of what I want to say about Nancy, I will say at her funeral. But for the benefit of those who read these tributes and cannot attend her service, I want to say that Nancy was among the most genuine of believers I have ever had the privilege to serve as pastor. She tried to love and forgive as the Lord Jesus loves and forgives. I know that Nancy is already blessing heaven with her presence, and I am glad that she is united with the Lord and reunited with husbands, parents, family and friends from all across the years.

  5. Dale,
Sorry to hear about your mother.
    Moms are special people.
Seems like our classmates are reconnecting one by one via the funerals of our parents.
Praying for you and your family as you morn.
