Voelz, 86, of Forest Drive, died at 12:57 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Silver Oaks Health Campus. Nelda was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. She retired from Cummins Inc., where she worked 30 years, and then worked at Kroger. Born in Bartholomew County May 2, 1926, Nelda was the daughter of Otto L. Hoeltke and Edna Rittman Hoeltke. She married Donald Steinbarger in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1957. She married Ebert Voelz in 1976. He preceded her in death in 1990. She is survived by sons, David (Betsy) Steinbarger of Celina, OH, Michael (Anngie) Steinbarger of Edinburgh, IN, and Mark (Debby) Steinbarger of Columbus, IN; daughters, Sue (Ben) Lorenz of Columbus, IN, and Debra Binkley of Vero Beach, FL; a brother, Ed (Nancy) Hoeltke of Columbus, IN; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and a brother, C. Evans Hoeltke

please know the family has my deepest sympathies.. i’ve told her several times that if i could have picked a grandma i would have picked her..i told her i adopted her as my grandma.. I will miss her, she was such a good woman..
Our thoughts and prayer are with Nelda’s family. She will be deeply missed by all of us girls at the credit union.
