Nellie S. Everroad April 01, 1907 - December 19, 2009 Nellie S. Everroad, 102, of 32nd Street died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2009, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Nellie was an avid bridge player. She was a member of First Christian Church. She oversaw the quilting program at the First Christian Church and made many quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nellie was a member of the Victory Workers Class with approximately 30 years of perfect attendance. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Her grandchildren loved her noodles and green beans. Every Saturday she would have lunch with her granddaughter Pam and other grandchildren. Dessert would be her homemade cream pies. Mrs. Everroad was born April 1, 1907, in Elizabethtown, Ind., the daughter of William N. and Josephine Dinkins Spies. She married Adam L. Everroad on June 29, 1928. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia (Gene) Tovey of Columbus, Ind.; grandchildren, Pamela (Doug) Hollenbeck of Columbus, Lynda (Duane) Barkes of Columbus, Mark (Julie) Tovey of Columbus, Jennifer (Philip Crouse) Everroad of Columbus, Kenton (Brenda) Tovey of Overland Park, Kan., Natalie (Jim) Carpenter of Seymour, Glen (Lori) Everroad of Laguna Beach, Calif. and Scott Everroad of Carlsbad, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Everroad was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in January 1975; a son, Lee A. Everroad; a grandson, Gary Everroad; and 8 brothers and sisters. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at First Christian Church with the Rev. Al White officiating. CALLING: 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to service at the church. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery.
